Under 7's Petersfield Tournament 17th June 2017
Well done to the Under 7's team that entered the Petersfield tournament on a sweltering hot day on June 17th.  A great effort by the squad and thank you to Craig for taking the team.  They won one match, drew two and lost two.
Beacon Hill Tournament 2017

Amazing result from our under 8's under Jon Fowler, Alex Watt and Dan Woods - the Foxes won the tournament!

A great performance by the under 7s at the Beacon Hill tournament, finishing 4th, but so unlucky not to finish higher having conceded just 4 goals in the 7 games.

End of Season Awards
The End of Season Awards took place on Saturday 25th March at 11am.

The awards are for The Most Improved Player in each year group and Coaches Choice in each year group.  Coaches choice is for a player that has shown enthusiasm, commitment, the ability to work as part of a team, to listen and show respect to their coach.  The Most Improved is self explanatory but it is a great award to win as it shows real dedication and effort.

Fireworks (U7) update
The Under 7's are entering two tournaments at the end of this season - the Beacon Hill tournament in May and the Petersfield tournament in June.

The Fireworks have done really well in the SSYL since they began in January and we will definitely be entering two teams next season when they become under 8's.  Stacey will continue to coach the team with Craig Johnson supporting her as a parent coach and Natalie Owles will help with administration.

Under 8's excel in Alton Tournament 28th December

The Under 8's entered a team to the Alton tournament on the 28th December.  12 teams entered and these were split into 2 groups. In their group the team won four matches, drew one and only conceded one goal. This took them to the semi-final against Rushmoor which they won 1-0.  The final of the tournament ended at 0-0 and they only lost out to penalties 3-2.  Congratulations to the team!

Gerald Puttick Tournament Results
It was a great day with Haslemere, Chiddingfold, Beacon Hill and Milford all attending. It was a tough tournament for our boys and girls and we were pretty unlucky in quite a few of our games.  Beacon won by a point to take the cup with Milford narrowly missing out. Congratulations to them and their coach Dan.

Big thank you to Andrew, Mike and Nick who between them referred all the matches and coached the boys.

And thank you to Mischa and Kate in the kitchen serving burgers and hot dogs and to Ruth for running a delicious cake stall which made a wonderful profit of £55 for the club - thank you Ruth.  Her cookies are so delicious that she will be sending her husband coach Jason in with them every Saturday morning for the children to buy for 50p after coaching.

And finally thank you to the team of Olly, Maia, Sam. Tom, George, Alec, Jack and Thomas who played really well against tough opposition.
End of season Junior awards 2nd April 2016
After coaching on the 2nd April we will held the end of season junior awards. Trophies were awarded to children in each age group for most improved player of the season and coaches' choice.  Go to https://fernhurstfootballclub.secure-club.com/honours/default.aspx to see who won!

The bacon nutty team raised a massive £395.21 this season from the kitchen which is brilliant for the club and this money will go towards goal posts, footballs, bibs etc. We are always in need of kit and this costs money so if you know of any company that might be interested in sponsoring us let me know.
Beacon Hill Tournament 7th May 2016

Result: Under 8's won their age group and the under 7's narrowly missed winning to come the runners up in their age group.  AMAZING! Photos to follow.

SSYL Finals Tournament 23rd April 2016
As we are part of the South Surrey league we have been invited to enter a team for the finals day at Big Brockham, Dorking for a tournament on the 23rd April.  The team did brilliantly and made us so proud.
