Background & Facilities

 Fernhurst Football Club plays at the Recreation Ground in Fernhurst. Fernhurst can now boast to having one of the best football pitches in the area having invested in a drained pitch in 2013.
  • Pavilion with changing rooms for home and away teams and the referee.
  • Large club room with bar and Sky Sports and a cafe which is open on Saturday morning.
  • Level, drained pitch.
  • Toilet facilities.
  • Playground.
  • Tennis Courts.
  • Parking.

Club's Expectations

To achieve its aims and ambitions the club has a few simple expectations of members.
  • Honour Codes of Conduct: These are for the benefit of the club both on and off the field. PLEASE READ THEM.
  • All members to pay fees and adults to pay fines promptly.
  • Register on the club member system and maintain your information throughout the season.
  • Support and promote the club. 
  • And volunteer to help when and if you can. There is kit to be washed, lines to be painted, grass to be mown, bacon to eat but above all juniors need their parents to help with teams as we can not enter one for your child without this support.

Junior Players

U5 (Reception) to U7 (Year 2) - Saturday Coaching
  • Coaching on Saturday mornings at Fernhurst or Midhurst Rother College Sports Hall with Oli Meaker from Little Footy Stars
  1. 9am-10am for U5 & U6 
  2. 10am-11am for U7 
  • Fees: £80 for the season September to the end of March.
  • Kit: Kids can wear any sports kit or shirts etc. but please allow for  weather as the ground is open to the elements. We often sell second hand boots & kit (for a small donation to the club) at the clubhouse if required.....
  • Please note you must have a valid membership for your child to be covered by our insurances - If you have not registered even for a trial - your child will not be eligible to join the Saturday group.
U8 (Year 3) to U15 (Year 10) - League Games
  • Coaching  Thursday evenings at Midhurst Rother College or Fernhurst Rec Ground.                                   
  1. U8 - U12 6-7pm at Midhurst Rother College on Thursday evening: ,
  2. U13 - U15 7pm - 8pm at Midhurst Rother College on Thursday evening: 
  • League football matches are on Saturday mornings between 9am and 12.30pm. All teams are currently playing in the Surrey League (SSYFL).
  • Fees: 
  1. £140 by July 31st to include training and all league match fees or 
  2. Instalment Plan available.
  • Match tops are provided for all league games. Black socks and shorts are not provided but can be bought from most sports shops.
  • Football boots with studs required at Fernhurst Recreation Ground.
  • Moulded boots required for the 3G pitch at Midhurst.
  • Trainers or astros required for the sports hall at Midhurst. 
Juniors can come along to a free session on a Saturday to see whether or not he or she will like it before joining the club. You will need a recent passport style photo of the player to register online. Proof of date of birth is required for all players. All submissions are approved to check their is space in the team. Adult Players (U18+)

  •  Fernhurst Sports 1st X1.
  • Weekly training sessions on Wednesday evening, indoors and outdoors.
  • Matches are in the West Sussex Football League on Saturday afternoons.
  • The Club has insurance recommended to us by the FA. Contact us if you wish to obtain details of the policy to check that it suits you should you have an injury that means they can not drive and/or get to work. You should take out extra cover if you think you need to.
  • Fees: £140 by July 31st to include training and all league match fees or £35 membership fee only (£5 match fee and £5 training fee to be provided on days attended). 
  • Match tops are provided at matches. Black shorts and socks required. 
You will need a recent passport style photo of yourself to register online. All submissions are approved to check their is space in the team. More information on registering can be found on the online system.
