Start of the Season

Dear Parent The start of the new season is nearly upon us! Most of you know that we were delighted to be awarded the FA Charter Standard at the end of last season but for those of you that are new to the club this is what you can expect from Junior Fernhurst FC.  1.  A well organised and safe club.  2.  FA qualified coaches as standard for all junior members.  3.  A club that adheres to FA Respect Policies and Codes of Conduct for managers, coaches, referees, parents, and players. Detailed below are start dates and some general club information - please take the time to read this.  *   The football season kicks off on Thursday 6th September with training for U8’s to U11’s and above at the Edge at 6pm.  If you are in a team your manager or coach will be in touch regarding league matches.  *   Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 will start their coaching on Saturday September 8th.  Reception and Year 1 at 9.15-10am and Year 2 at 10.15-11.15am.  *   Club website - if you do not have a password for the website but would like access to the site please let me know and we will send you a password reset link.  *   Junior Facebook Page - we have a closed Facebook page accessible only to club members - if you are on Facebook and would like to be added to the members list let Kate know.  *   Cafe - the cafe will be open on Saturday mornings selling tea/coffee and bacon rolls and of course the ever popular bags of sweets!  If you can spare a Saturday morning to help in the kitchen and haven’t already let Kate know please do.  *   Car parking - the area can get very congested on Saturday mornings.  Please park considerately and economically in the car park and around the Village Green.  Do not park on the grass in wet weather.  Better still please don’t drive if you don’t have to.   There is additional parking on Hoggs Hill and Church Road.  *   AB Fitness - Adam will be running his keep fit classes on Saturday morning - please contact him directly for more information.
